How the radio impacted the people of America

One of the most important senses that was used to promote the New Deal was sound. When Roosevelt became President the radio was on the rise to becoming a popular amenity that people wanted in their homes. One of the most famous uses of sound was the Fireside Chats that Roosevelt delivered to the people through radio. These were impactful because they made citizens feel at ease because they felt they could trust the President. Imagine sitting in your home hearing and the President come live on the radio to chat with you about his plans.

I incorporated soundcite into this because hearing the President speak directly to the people is powerful. In such a dark time for America these chats brought the peace they needed and pushed them to trust his actions and programs as President. I believe these fireside chats are a big reason the programs or "alphabet soup" were successful.
