Narrative
The plaque of the donors includes quote that reads, "A delightful place to enjoy a baseball game." This quote shows the purpose of this stadium and perhaps in the 1930s it served as a place to relieve stresses of the Great Depression. Existence during this time was bleak to most and a place to enjoy America's past time (baseball) shows the importance of the American culture of the time to promote a sense of belonging. To document my visit I used my phone to record the video and also to take the pictures that are shown. The technology here allows me to document and share an experience in short amounts of time meanwhile in the 1930s we see that documenting recordings and sharing them to the public would be very time consuming. Documentary styles are similar in the fact that we still share pictures and sounds to another but the mediums in which they are produced are much different and obviously much more condensed.
