The historical sight neighbors schools, churches, and local attractions. It consists of bumpy roads upon arrival and all throughout the camp grounds. It has also become an RV camping site for nature- lovers across the U.S.   According to the Prince Wiliam County National Park Service, the "Recreation Demonstration Area was an effort created to alleviate the suffering of the Great Depression"[efn_note]<a href="https://www.nps.gov/prwi/learn/historyculture/stories.htm">https://www.nps.gov/prwi/learn/historyculture/stories.htm</a>[/efn_note]. The goal of the RDA was to aid struggling farmers, unemployed men, and poor children. To document my experience, I used my Iphone camera to capture the scenery. As I focused my lens, the quality of the many photos and videos I took were clear- cut and displayed color. Compared to modern technology, traditional technology in the 1930's would have only displayed photos in black and white and were often less clear. Title A name given to the resource Prince William Forest Park - Triangle, Virginia Description An account of the resource In May of 1935 the young men of the CCC and workers of the WPA began working on the fourth largest Chopawamsic Recreation Demonstration Area. The job of the CCC was to build five rustic cabin camps, thus providing urban social and welfare organizations of Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C a place to experience the simpler ways of camp life, while also building self-esteem and strong character values. The historically maintained cabins still shelter families and groups almost seventy years later.
