<text>I choose the Occoquan Wharves because it is something that I had grown up visiting but never knew the history behind it. I think when it was created, the idea behind it was to help employment and businesses in the area, it help facilitate a lot of imports and exports coming from and to Washington D.C., especially when you consider the amount of small family businesses infront of the wharf.

Technology wise, I used my phone to document on site and my laptop to create text.

While researching the area, I learned that it was destroyed by huge floods in the late 1960's and 70's and that proabably had some part to do with the fact that infrastruture was definitely not as advanced as it is today. The chances of it getting completely destroyed with todays infrastructure is significantly less than 1934. </text>
