Defining American Culture

In conclusion, the Works Progress Administration may have officially been the largest employment agency that the United States had ever known, but in reality it was much more. Through their work and the Fedreal One Project they created jobs for more than just the labor class. They took writers, actors, stage hands, musicians and photographers and set about illustrating what was special about all Americans. They brought the narratives of the American Folk to the public through a vast amount of information and personal stories.  That collection defined what it meant to be an American.
