Conclusions and Bibliography

In conclusion, this project shows the relationship that actors and actresses have with the platforms that are funding their productions. The Works Progress Administration aimed to cultivate the sense of American culture by funding projects like the Federal Theater Project. The identity of an actor or actress has shifted because the federal government no longer delves into media productions for the sake of an American identity. Movie stars have developed their own identities from the desire to establish their own fame and glory rather than trying to promote a sense of American culture. While American culture is directly related with the stardom that follows Hollywood, these actors are no longer federally employed which allows for their brand to expand at their own expense rather than federal government money.
