End of the Road

The Federal Writers Project and Federal Theatre Project brought mobility to the people of the states in the 1930's by supplying them with jobs but also bringing new things about them into the limelight. Various ethnic groups were given the chance to go on stage thanks to the FTP and many people got out and toured thanks to the FWP.

The Federal Music Project was able to do the same as the other two, but with less contention. This music was able to bring people together, to speak to them. In times of war, the music brought drive and nationalistic comfort. Back home, the songs pushed forward movements of varying kind that supported the fellow American.

These three projects of the New Deal were able to push America in the right direction and out of stagnation. The music got them dancing and the theatre turned a profit. The tours were all around good for the economy, and people were given jobs. Things were looking up!
