The tower at the top is not technically a part of the Hotel. Thus, it has somewhat been spared of losing its original effect. It is still owned by the United States Post Office and is still accessible. However, this access is somewhat hidden at the back of the building. Also, when entering the museum there is still many points that are owned by the Trump Organization and thus are void of original meaning.

While not completely visible in this image, here stands the "TRUMP INTERNATIONAL HOTEL" sign. This building once was the center for the United States Post Office. This sign shows far the building has diverted from its original message. It was once a symbol of bringing the nation together through mail and now many consider it a prime example of corporate greed and separation.

This painting can be found inside the new Recorder of Deeds building. Sadly this is the only reference to the roots of the original building. There is no mention of the amazing work of African Americans in this department or the murals depicting them. One major person that is notably absent is Frederick Douglass who worked in the Recorder of Deeds building. However, this painting does have FDR depicted in it giving a speech. Again, this is the only image or reference to the New Deal.
