Conclusions
The Great Depression is undoubtedly one of the most impactful disasters in U.S. history, but it must not be forgotten that light and hope come from darkness and despair. The WPA and projects like the Federal Theater, Art, and Writers Project, as well as the CCC (an institution which still operates proudly today), made a significant impact on more than the American economy. While the work may be slightly overlooked today, projects within the WPA made sure that boundaires which separated the American peoples were removed, at least for the period of economic healing.
