Image Annotation: White Motherhood & Sickness

From these posters, it seems clear that there was an emphasis put on preserving the health of white women so that they could prevail during motherhood. Even when the women aren't portrayed as blond and have red hair and more of an olive skin tone (perhaps the artist's attempt to include European immigrants), Black and Hispanic women seem to be excluded. Even with predominately Black neighborhoods like Bedford-Stuyvesant, Black women weren't featured in these posters that have information pertinent to all citizens of New York.
