Another particular campaign that the Federal Art Project undertook was promoting literacy with the WPA Adult Education program. The WPA posters publicized free classes on reading, writing, psychology, the arts, and more. It’s interesting to note that the Adult Education Program also offered free naturalization preparation classes, with poster artwork that included Yiddish text. The posters in this section suggest that the federal government understood that along with putting people back to work, education was a necessity in order to create a truly rehabilitated nation.
